My Bikes....

I started riding in 1995 with a maroon coloured Yamaha RX 100 that my Bro gave to me. Always wonderful memories when you think back to those days of discovering motorcycling. In due course of time i made many power mods to the RX as the need for power increased. When i was finally done with the RX (around 2001) she was bored out to 110cc and running shogun pistons, ported for quick acceleration (as were most of the rally rx's in those days), running proton rally extrema power exhaust and jetted to match. I had lots of fun and good memories on that bike, will need to dig up a snap of it and put it up soon.

I then moved on to the Yamaha RD350 which followed the same pattern with regard to mods, even got it to set the highest top speed for a non-chambered RD in the country (177kmph). Again, lots of good fun and times on that bike, i've loved all my bikes

Started out like this.....

And ended up like this.......

2005

Next up was the machine that introduced me to the modern superbikes of today, the CBR 600 F3. This bike showed me a whole new dimension to motorcycling and I learnt more about riding on this bike than i had in all my previous years of motorcycling. It holds a very special spot in my heart.

2006

Finally, i got myself a Yamaha R1. I have dreamt of this beast for a very long time, yes you could say i now ride the bike of my dreams. Absolutely love the power and handling of this beast, its a king in its domain and deserves all the riders respect no matter how good he is. As long as you remember that its a match made in heaven :)

3/23/2007 Update: My Latest Aquisition

TVS Apache

Yes i know what your thinking after going through the list of my bikes...WTF?!%#&??? Apache??. Well yes funny as it may seem, this is probably the best track tool in the indian market today, an absolute blast to thrash through tight corners. After an eye opening experience riding the CBZ on track at my last track day (check track pictures section) i decided i had to get me one of these machines. After testing a number of bikes available in the market today, i concluded the Apache was the machine for me. I have plans to put in quite a bit of work on this machine to get it track ready, watch this space....

Update: 8/14/2007

The Apache is setup for racing now and i'm currently racing it in the National Championship Group D (stock bike) category. There isnt much you are allowed to do to the bike in the stock class, you are allowed to drop weight (bike is at 110kgs now stock is 136kgs), jetting, tires and CDI are free too:

Heres how it looks for street use, on track the rear mudguard assembly comes off, rest is the same

Update: 27/11/2008 - Yamaha R15

This update in after a long gap. The 2008 racing season is over and along the way this year i picked up the Yamaha R15, a superb little track machine that sits a league apart in the indian 150cc market. Yamaha, the sleeping giant woke up and brought this baby in just in time for me to race it in the last 2 rounds of this years national championship. Loaded with the latest tech and with unbeatable handling, the bike was instantly a favourite amongst track goers and the like. I enjoyed racing it in this years nationals as well as in the R15 championship. Now with the Apache sold, the R15 can retire to being my street bike.
