My name is Sameer and I work at Microsoft Bangalore. As you have probably figured out, I'm a motorcycle enthusiast with a passion for racing. When i'm not at work i'm either setting up my bike or out at either of the two race tracks we have here in India. We have a race track at Chennai and one at Coimbatore where track-days as well as National Championship Races amongst others are held. I take my racing quite seriously and currently race for Red Rooster Racing - www.redroosterracing.com My first bike was a Yamaha RX100 which started me off on motorcyles back in 1994. I have since owned a number of bikes which include - TVS Apache, Yamaha R15, Yamaha RD350, Honda CBR600, and Yamaha R1. I like to work on my bikes myself and have a particular soft spot for my RD because it got me on the 'speed crazy' bandwagon. Though over time what i achieved with it has been relegated to the history books and biker gossip, that bike was arguably the fastest RD350 in the country on stock pipes, airbox and carburetion. With a true top whack of 177kph it was a site to behold and music to the ears back in the day. Soon after that the CBR600 introduced me to a whole new world of performance motorcycling and the learning curve was steep and exciting. In 2005 a good friend introduced me to the race track, I immediately fell head over heels for it and since then there has been no turning back.
